AgencyFlo

Agencyflo vs Teamwork

What's the difference between AgencyFlo and Teamwork?

AgencyFlo vs Teamwork.com: a closed loop for small agencies vs the established client work platform you assemble from tiers and add-ons.

AgencyFlo dashboard, compared with Teamwork

Intro

Teamwork.com is the most explicitly agency-shaped tool in the category. They've built it for client work for over a decade, and the billable time, budgets and Gantt are genuinely mature. The trade-off is per-seat pricing that climbs with every hire and a feature ladder that lives across three tiers plus a separately-paid CRM. Teamwork Deliver (their entry billable tier) is $13.99/user/month annual, Grow is $25.99, and Scale is $69.99 with a 5-seat minimum on each. Teamwork CRM is a separate SKU at $11/user/month. A 15-person agency on Grow with CRM lands around $555/month before AI add-ons. AgencyFlo is flat at $50/month up to 25 people, with proposals, contracts, e-sign, invoicing and FloAI included. Teamwork is broader on resourcing, AgencyFlo is one closed loop.

What Teamwork does well

Built for client work from day one

Teamwork didn't pivot into agencies, they started there. Client users, billable vs non-billable time, retainers, project budgets and invoice exports are first-class, not bolted on. If your operations lead already thinks in utilisation and budget burn, the language matches.

Mature Gantt, dependencies and resourcing

The Gantt chart and dependency engine are some of the best in the category, and Workload + Resource Scheduling on the Scale tier give planners a real view of capacity across the studio. For 50+ person teams running concurrent retainers, the planning depth is hard to match in a younger product.

An established install base and integrations

Tens of thousands of agencies, deep HubSpot, Xero, QuickBooks, Slack and Google Workspace integrations, plus enterprise-grade SSO, audit logs and 2FA on Scale and above. You can find a Teamwork-trained PM or a consultant on day one, which a newer tool can't promise.

The structural gap

The pipeline lives in a separate product

Teamwork CRM (the rebuilt Teamwork Sales / Spaces) is a separate paid SKU at $11 per user per month, not a module inside Projects. So the lead that becomes a project hops between two databases with their own permissions and reporting. AgencyFlo's CRM, proposals and projects share one record, which means a won deal becomes a live project without re-keying, and FloAI sees the full history.

The features you bought it for live on the top tier

Workload, Resource Scheduling, Project Health, Profitability reporting, custom report builder and full white-label all sit on Scale at $69.99 per user per month with a 5-seat minimum. For a 15-person agency that's around $12,600/year just for the work platform, before CRM, before proposals, before e-sign. The tier ladder is the real price tag, not the headline.

When Teamwork wins

You're a 30+ person agency that lives in resource planning

If you run concurrent retainers across a planning-heavy delivery team and your ops lead wants a deep Workload view, Gantt with dependencies, and Scale-tier reports, Teamwork has spent more years on those screens than AgencyFlo has existed. The depth is real.

You need enterprise procurement comfort

SOC 2, HIPAA-ready add-ons, SSO, audit logs and a long vendor history matter to some clients. Teamwork's Scale and Enterprise tiers tick those boxes today, and a 200-seat install base is easier to defend in procurement than a newer brand.

When Agencyflo wins

One loop, not a Projects + CRM + Pandadoc stack

AgencyFlo replaces Teamwork Projects, Teamwork CRM, your proposals tool and your contracts/e-sign tool with one system at $50/month up to 25 people. The lead, the proposal, the signed contract, the project, the time and the invoice are the same record, which is what makes real-time margin possible.

FloAI is in the loop, not a beta toolbar

Teamwork AI Assist landed in 2024 and is still scoped mostly to task description rewriting and summarisation inside the project view. FloAI drafts the proposal, drafts the invoice, watches the budget and surfaces margin risk because it sees CRM through to cash in one place.

Verdict

Choose Teamwork if
Choose Teamwork.com if you're a 30+ person agency with an ops lead, you need Scale-tier resource scheduling and reporting, and you're comfortable running Projects + CRM as separate SKUs with proposals and e-sign through Pandadoc.
Choose Agencyflo if
Choose AgencyFlo if you're an AI-first agency that wants the whole revenue and delivery loop in one flat-priced system with AI built in, not bolted on.
The difference
Teamwork is the established client work platform you assemble from tiers and SKUs. AgencyFlo is one closed loop priced by the company, not the seat.

Migration path

Ready to switch? Here's how.

  1. 01Export Teamwork Projects, Tasks and Milestones via the per-project CSV export (Projects → Export)
  2. 02Pull time entries and invoices from the Time and Billing reports for the last 90 days
  3. 03If you're on Teamwork CRM, export Contacts, Companies and Deals as separate CSVs from the CRM workspace
  4. 04Import everything via the AgencyFlo migration tool; we merge the CRM and Projects records back into one client and parallel-run for two weeks
  5. 05Cut over, archive the Teamwork sites, and cancel the per-seat Projects plan plus the Teamwork CRM SKU

You don't have to switch everything at once

Already happy with how you use Teamwork? Keep it for that and bring the rest of your agency into AgencyFlo. Adopt the features at your own pace - it works whether you move the whole loop or just part of it.

Additional features on Agencyflo

Agencyflo ships the features below natively. With Teamwork you'd typically bolt on a separate tool for each, or do without.

FAQ

Is Teamwork CRM included in the Projects plan, or is it a separate cost?+

Separate. Teamwork CRM (the renamed Teamwork Sales / Spaces product) is its own SKU at roughly $11 per user per month, on top of any Teamwork.com Projects tier. So a 15-person agency on Grow ($25.99/user/month) plus CRM lands around $555/month before any proposals or e-sign tooling. AgencyFlo includes CRM, proposals, contracts, e-sign and invoicing in the flat $50/month price.

Can Teamwork.com actually send proposals and contracts, or do I still need Pandadoc?+

Teamwork can export an invoice and integrates with Pandadoc, DocuSign and HelloSign for proposals and e-sign, but it doesn't draft, send or sign documents natively. Most agencies on Teamwork still pay separately for a proposals/contracts tool. AgencyFlo writes the proposal with FloAI, signs the contract and raises the invoice from the same record, so the loop closes inside one system.

How real is Teamwork AI Assist in 2026?+

It's live but narrow. Teamwork AI Assist focuses on rewriting and summarising task descriptions, comments and project updates inside the workspace. It isn't drafting proposals, watching project margin or generating invoices. FloAI is native to AgencyFlo's closed loop, so it can draft the proposal from the discovery notes, flag a project that's about to go underwater on budget, and prep the invoice the moment a milestone is signed off.
